What if our facility needs to be inspected for compliance with USP <800>?

If your facility is shipping into a state that requires demonstration of compliance with USP <800>, it is advised to select the additional inspection module of USP <800>. As each state board of pharmacy varies in what they require for licensure, we recommend that you reach out directly to the board of pharmacy where you are seeking or renewing licensure in order to obtain direction on the necessary components to be compliant with their state rules and regulations. If your facility performs any compounding, you may also wish to reference United States Pharmacopeia (USP) General Chapter <795>, <797>, and/or <800> as applicable.

Note

Starting November 1, 2023 the USP <800> module with not be optional and any applicant that engages in hazardous drug compounding will be required to include this module as VPP does not conduct partial inspections.
