What is the difference between an ACPE activity and a non-ACPE activity?

An ACPE activity is a continuing education course which is offered by an education provider which has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. It is accepted by all boards of pharmacy in the United States.

ACPE-accredited activities are automatically uploaded to CPE Monitor by providers typically within 35 business days after the completion of the activity. ACPE will accept transmission, changes and edits if submitted within 60 days of the course completion. After 60 days, ACPE will not accept any transmissions.

Non-ACPE activities are CPE credits that are not accredited by ACPE but are typically board-approved activities. They may not be accepted by all boards. The credits are not reported by the course provider to CPE Monitor; however, CPE Monitor Plus subscribers can add them to their CPE Monitor transcript.

Do not upload ACPE-accredited activities to your transcript through the non-ACPE upload process, as this will cause duplication of these activities in your transcript.

NABP is not able to add, change, or delete any ACPE CE activity on your CPE Monitor transcript. These must be resolved by the CPE Provider with ACPE.
