NABP Verify Terms and Conditions

The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) offers NABP Verify, a license verification and monitoring service for qualifying pharmacists to show that their licenses are in good standing. Boards of pharmacy in the United States that are part of the NABP Verify program may recognize or approve credential holders to perform pharmacy-related services in the applicable state or jurisdiction. NABP Verify validates that at least one license or registration is active and in good standing and that no current disciplinary action is in effect. Once verified, the NABP Verify credential holder is subject to ongoing monitoring to ensure a license or registration is in good standing and active and the holder or any license is not currently subject to a disciplinary action.

The professional credential verification services offered through NABP Verify are considered background checking services under federal and state law. Although NABP does not conduct traditional background screenings, such as credit and criminal checks, the Association complies with federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and similar state laws.

For more information about the FCRA, visit either NABP’s FCRA informational website or the Federal Trade Commission’s Credit Reporting site. For more information about your rights under the FCRA, please review the following document: Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA.

NABP’s dispute process applies when NABP is notified of a potential inaccuracy.
  12. You authorize the release of any and all information to NABP from federal, state, provincial, or local regulatory agencies in each state or jurisdiction where you hold or held a license or registration for the purpose of validating that you meet the Requirements.
