The NABP Executive Committee and Executive Director Carmen Catizone are announcing Catizone’s planned retirement from the Association after 35 years of service. Catizone will formally retire from NABP at the end of 2020, following the selection of a new executive director and a transition period of leadership. A Search Committee was commissioned by the Executive Committee and is working with an outside consultant, Tim Orbaugh. Mr Orbaugh is an experienced and proven Executive Advisor who specializes in change management, leadership, and organizational development.

The announcement today is official notice for individuals interested in serving as NABP’s next executive director to submit a curriculum vitae and letter of interest to search@executivedirector.pharmacy.  Applicants’ letters of interest should outline critical areas for consideration, qualifications to serve, and reasons for seeking this position. The letter should not exceed 1,000 words. The application period will close at 11:59 PM CST on December 2, 2019. There will be no exceptions to the deadline.

The individual seeking to serve as NABP’s executive director should possess the following:

  • Pharmacist license to practice in the United States;
  • Diversified professional experience; and
  • Experience in a senior leadership role with personnel and fiscal management responsibilities, as well as excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

More information concerning the compensation package will be provided to individuals whose applications are accepted for further consideration. The compensation package will be competitive and commensurate with experience and the ability to lead an organization with annual revenues in excess of $35 million and a staff exceeding 150 employees.
