On April 22, 2012, the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) is launching its new test driver for the Pre-NAPLEX® and the Pre-FPGEE®. As of this date, the registration and administration of the two practice examinations will be hosted on NABP’s systems.

Candidates who registered for the Pre-NAPLEX or Pre-FPGEE by April 20 (11:59 PM CDT) will need to complete the practice exam on the Pearson VUE Web site at https://www.catglobal.com/CATGlobal8/default.asp. Pearson VUE will cease offering the practice exams on April 27, so candidates must complete the exam within seven days (168 hours) to avoid a loss in fees. No refunds are available.

Candidates may register for the practice exams on or after April 22 by visiting the Pre-NAPLEX  or Pre-FPGEE sections of the NABP Web site. As in the past, a candidate has seven days to complete a practice exam after registering.

The change to internal hosting of the practice exams allows NABP to more closely oversee the quality and development of the Pre-NAPLEX and the Pre-FPGEE. In addition, internal hosting will make the practice examinations a component of the NABP e-Profile, enabling candidates to register and take the tests using the same username and password they use for other NABP programs and services. Having an NABP e-Profile allows users to access a single account that allows them to manage all of the NABP programs they will utilize during the course of their career.

Although the practice examinations will be hosted on NABP servers, the practice examination fees and format remain the same. Candidates will continue to have seven days to take the practice examination after registering.
