Delegates to the 122nd National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) Annual Meeting, held in Boston, MA, from May 12-15, 2026, elected individuals to fill the president-elect, treasurer, and open member positions on the Association’s 2026-2027 Executive Committee.
The newly elected officers and members of the NABP Executive Committee are:
- President-Elect Shane R. Wendel, PharmD, RPh, one-year term;
- Treasurer Kamlesh “Kam” Gandhi, PharmD, RPh, one-year term;
- Member Shuler Spigener, PharmD, RPh (District 3), three-year term;
- Member Steven W. Schierholt, Esq (District 4), re-elected for three-year term; and
- Member Lorri Walmsley, RPh, FAzPA (District 8), three-year term.
The following NABP Executive Committee officers and members are continuing to fulfill their terms:-
- NABP President Nicole L. Chopski, PharmD, ANP, who assumed the office after serving one-year terms as president-elect and treasurer;

Chairperson: Bradley S. “Brad” Hamilton, BScPharm, RPh
Hamilton, a member and past president of the Maine Board of Pharmacy, automatically assumed the position of chairperson of the NABP Executive Committee. Prior to becoming chairperson, Hamilton served one-year terms as president, president-elect, and treasurer and five years as a member of the NABP Executive Committee (District 1). During his term as president, Hamilton led an initiative to implement new technologies and continue the development of NABP’s Research and Innovation Institute. As a member of NABP, Hamilton has made many contributions to the NABP/American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) District 1 meetings. Hamilton has participated in several committees and task forces, including the Committee on Law Enforcement/Legislation; the Task Force on Expanding International Membership; the Overview Task Force on Requirements for Pharmacy Technician Education, Practice Responsibilities, and Competence Assessment; and the Task Force to Develop Regulations Based on Standards of Care. He also represented the Maine Board as a voting delegate at the NABP Annual Meetings for numerous years. Additionally, Hamilton served as the Executive Committee liaison to NABP’s Advisory Committee on Examinations.
President: Nicole L. Chopski, PharmD, ANP
Chopski, executive officer of the Idaho Board of Pharmacy, automatically assumed the position of president. Prior to the election, Chopski completed one-year terms as president-elect and treasurer and two three-year member terms (District 7) on the NABP Executive Committee. Chopski currently serves as bureau chief of the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses – Health Professions Bureau and as executive officer of the Boards of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Prior to becoming executive officer, Chopski served as a member of the Idaho Board for 12 years and made contributions to the NABP/AACP District 7 meetings as its former secretary/treasurer. As a member of NABP, she has served on various committees and task forces of the Association, including the Task Force on Safety-Sensitive Measures to Review Medication Errors, the Committee on Law Enforcement/Legislation, the Task Force on Medication-Assisted Treatment, and the Committee on Resolutions. Chopski also served as a voting delegate at the NABP Annual Meetings.
President-Elect: Shane R. Wendel, PharmD, RPh
Wendel, a member and former president of the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy, was elected to serve a one-year term as president-elect. Prior to the election, Wendel completed a one-year term as treasurer and two three-year member terms (District 5) on the NABP Executive Committee. He has participated in multiple task forces, including the Task Force on Shared Pharmacy Services, Automated Pharmacy Systems, Remote Dispensing Sites, and Telepharmacy; the Task Force on Pharmacy Technician Competence Assessment; and the Task Force on Workplace Safety and Well-Being. Wendel has 30 years of experience as a pharmacist and pharmacy manager in the community pharmacy setting.
Treasurer: Kamlesh “Kam” Gandhi, PharmD, RPh
Gandhi, executive director of the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy, was elected to serve a one-year term as treasurer. Prior to the election, Gandhi completed two three-year member terms (District 8) on the NABP Executive Committee. Gandhi is a former member and past president of the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy. As an active member of NABP, Gandhi has served on several task forces and committees, including the Task Force on the Regulation of Pharmacist Care Services, the Task Force on the Regulation of Telepharmacy Practice, and the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws. He also served as the Executive Committee liaison for the Model Act Review Committee and NABP’s Advisory Committee on Examinations, and as a panelist during the interactive NABP Executive Officer Forum.
Executive Committee Member: Shuler Spigener, PharmD, RPh
Spigener, a vice chair of the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy, was elected to serve a three-year member term (District 3) on the NABP Executive Committee. As an active member of NABP, Spigener has served on multiple committees and task forces, most recently, serving on the Task Force to Examine the Use of the TOEFL iBT as a Requirement for FPGEC Certification, the Committee on Resolutions, and the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws. He has held the positions of pharmacy supervisor, pharmacy manager, and assistant pharmacy manager for Publix Super Markets, Inc. Spigener holds certifications in medication therapy management and immunization delivery and is a self-care specialist.
Executive Committee Member: Steven W. Schierholt, Esq
Schierholt, executive director of the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, was re-elected to serve a three-year member term (District 4) on the NABP Executive Committee. An active member of NABP, Schierholt has provided valuable contributions as a member and chairperson for the Committee on Law Enforcement/Legislation. He has also served on or chaired several task forces, work groups, and other NABP committees, including the Model Act Review Committee; the Work Group on Workplace Safety, Well-Being, and Working Conditions; and the Suspicious Orders Work Group. Additionally, he served as Executive Committee liaison for the Task Force to Review Unprofessional Conduct and Disciplinary Actions. Schierholt has been a panelist at multiple NABP Executive Officer Forums. Under his leadership, the Ohio Board of Pharmacy was awarded NABP’s Fred T. Mahaffey Award in 2019 for its success in updating and implementing rules related to prescription monitoring program data integration and reporting suspicious drug orders.
Executive Committee Member: Lorri Walmsley, RPh, FAzPA
Walmsley, a member and former president of the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy, was elected to serve a three-year member term (District 8) on the NABP Executive Committee. An active member of NABP, she has served on various task forces and committees, including the Task Force on Shared Pharmacy Services, Automated Pharmacy Systems, Remote Dispensing Sites, and Telepharmacy; the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws; the Committee on Law Enforcement/Legislation; and the Work Group to Consider Extending Waivers. Additionally, she served as chairperson for District 8 and contributed to District 8’s Planning Committee. As an accomplished pharmacist with over 30 years of experience and over nine years working in leadership roles, Walmsley is currently the vice president of pharmacy affairs at Walgreen Co. She is also a member of the Arizona Pharmacy Association, American Pharmacists Association, American Society for Pharmacy Law, and the National Advisory Board for the University of Arizona. In 2025, she earned a Pharmacy Appreciation Award from the Arizona Pharmacy Association, as well as the Walgreens Champion of Champions Award – Connected Division Team.
Executive Committee Member: Stacey Ranucci, MBA, RPh, BCGP, CDCES, FASCP, CPEL
Ranucci, a member and former chairperson for the Rhode Island Board of Pharmacy, is serving her second year of a three-year member term (District 1) on the NABP Executive Committee. An active member of District 1, Ranucci has made significant contributions to the Association and district, including serving as the chair of District 1 from 2019-2022. Ranucci has participated in several committees and task forces, including the Task Force to Review Institutional Pharmacy and Compounding Model Rules, the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws, and the Committee on Resolutions. She additionally served as the Executive Committee liaison to NABP’s Advisory Committee on Examinations. Ranucci is a seasoned pharmacist with over 25 years of experience in a variety of roles.
Executive Committee Member: David G. Bowyer, RPh, FASHP
Bowyer, president of the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy, is serving his second year of a three-year member term (District 2) on the NABP Executive Committee. Bowyer is professor emeritus of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy. He held positions as the department chair of pharmacy practice and director of experiential education, serving as associate professor, assistant professor, and instructor of pharmacy practice at the University of Charleston and clinical educator at the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. As a distinguished educator, Bowyer established sites for advanced practice experiences, early practice experiences, and service learning for 80 students annually and developed and coordinated courses in the school of pharmacy, in addition to mentoring new faculty and staff. As an active member of NABP, he served as chair of the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws and the Committee on Law Enforcement/Legislation. He also served as a member of the Committee on Resolutions and attended NABP’s Annual Meetings as West Virginia’s delegate.
Executive Committee Member: Diane M. Halvorson, RPhTech, CPhT-Adv, CSPT
Halvorson, a member and former president of the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy, is serving her second year of a three-year member term (District 5) on the NABP Executive Committee. An active member of NABP, Halvorson has served on many committees and task forces, including the Committee on Law Enforcement/Legislation, the Committee on Resolutions, the Task Force on Workplace Safety and Well-Being, and the Task Force to Create an Industry Standard for Pharmacy Technician Scope of Practice and Entry-Level Requirements to Support Interstate Portability, where she served as chair. With over 35 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, Halvorson is currently a pharmacy technician buyer and lead technician for Sanford Hospital. Halvorson earned her pharmacy technician certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). She holds PTCB certifications in technician product verification, controlled substance diversion prevention, hazardous drug management, regulatory compliance, and supply chain and inventory management. Halvorson is also certified as a compounded sterile preparation technician (CSPT) and received an advanced practice certification (CPhT-Adv). She is a member of the Northland Association of Pharmacy Technicians and PTCB. In 2016, Halvorson was awarded the PTCB National Pharmacy Technician of the Year award, and in 2022, she was awarded the NABP Carmen A. Catizone Honorary President Award.
Executive Committee Member: Deborah C. Mack, RPh, CHC, CCEP
Mack, president of the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy, is serving her third year of a three-year member term (District 6) on the NABP Executive Committee. As an active member of NABP, she has served on task forces and committees, including the Task Force on Pharmacist and Pharmacy Personnel Mental Health and Well-Being, the Task Force on Mutual-Recognition Licensure, and the Committee on Law Enforcement/Legislation. Mack is a registered pharmacist with over 30 years of pharmacy experience in retail pharmacy and compliance, most recently working as a consultant assisting retail pharmacists in developing compliant health care strategies.
Executive Committee Member: Matthew R. Martineau, PharmD, RPh
Martineau, executive director of the Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy, is serving his second year of a two-year member term (District 7) on the NABP Executive Committee, after serving as the interim District 7 Executive Committee member since November 2024. Before assuming the position of executive director of the Wyoming Board, he was interim executive director from April to June 2019 and, prior to that, chief inspector/compliance officer. An active member of NABP, Martineau has served on the NABP Committee on Resolutions, the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws, the MPJE Review Committee, and the Steering Committee for the Uniform MPJE. He also served as a member of the TOEFL iBT Standard Setting Panel and as NABP/AACP District 7 chairperson (2021-2023). Martineau practiced in retail pharmacy and hospital pharmacy and is currently a member of the National Association of State Controlled Substances Authorities’ Controlled Substances Authorities Committee.
