Is DMEPOS accreditation mandatory?
CMS requires DMEPOS accreditation for suppliers who wish to obtain or maintain Medicare Part B billing privileges for products and services that are subject to CMS’s Quality Standards. CMS requires new DMEPOS suppliers to be accredited before a Medicare enrollment number can be sought.
