Does NABP perform background screening for employers?
NABP offers professional license verification services to employers and to you. These services are considered background checking services under federal and state law. Although we do not conduct typical background screenings, such as credit and criminal checks, we comply with the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and similar state laws in performing these licensure and credential verification services.
