All US boards of pharmacy require pharmacists to participate in continuing pharmacy education (CPE) activities as a prerequisite for license renewal, but keeping track of your CPE activity doesn’t have to be a hassle. CPE Monitor® stores all CPE data in one convenient place using NABP e-Profile. If required, you can easily download continuing education transcripts and submit one paper statement to the boards.

How CPE Monitor Works
More state boards are using CPE Monitor for auditing purposes and are able to access your data, eliminating the need for lots of paper clutter.
CPE Monitor service is provided through the collaborative efforts of NABP, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and ACPE-accredited providers. Note the following when submitting activities to CPE Monitor:
- Submit your CPE claim as soon as possible or check with the individual providers to verify a submission deadline.
- Allow 60 days for the CPE provider to process and submit your CPE. Contact the CPE provider if it has been more than 60 days since you submitted the necessary information for CPE credit.
- The CPE Monitor standard plan can only store data from ACPE-accredited providers. Upgrade to CPE Monitor Plus, a subscription, that allows you to upload Non-ACPE credits to your CPE Monitor transcript.
- Check your board of pharmacy’s website to learn the preferred process for submitting proof of CPE credits.
Is your renewal date approaching? Check all licenses and/or certifications for data errors. This ensures that CPE activity displays in your e-Profile properly, because your board can access all CPE claim activity.
A Note for Technicians
The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) develops, maintains, promotes, and administers a nationally accredited certification and recertification program for pharmacy technicians. Please contact PTCB for questions about technician certification. NABP does not issue technician certification, and we will be unable to assist you with this matter.
Individuals who meet all eligibility requirements and pass PTCB’s Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCE) become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). To continue holding certification, PTCB requires a specific amount of continuing education be earned each year.
In the future, CE credits may flow from CPE Monitor to PTCB. For now, technicians certified through PTCB will need to report their CE to PTCB when seeking recertification from PTCB.
