In alignment with former NABP President Lenora Newsome’s initiative to promote a healthier pharmacy environment and combat unsafe working conditions, this session will provide resources to support the mental health and well-being of pharmacists and pharmacy staff. Attendees will be provided with a better understanding of drivers of burnout and learn tangible skills that can help individuals better address and resolve key causes of stress and burnout in the workplace. Additionally, attendees will learn about the importance of organizational strategies to effectively change culture and address burnout issues in the workplace.

How to Access the Home Study Webinar and Earn CPE

The home study webinar is eligible for Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education-accredited continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credit. More details regarding the presentation, CPE activity credits, and browser requirements can be found in the CPE Activity Information Guide.

Follow the steps below to access the home study webinar and claim CPE credit:

  1. Log in to your NABP e-Profile and select the Continuing Education Activities tile to purchase and obtain the access code and instructions.
  2. Log in to NABP’s CPE Submission Site and select the “Home Study CPE” tab.
    • If you do not have a log in for Learner Community, you will need to create an account.
  3. Enter the access code provided in your confirmation email and click “Redeem Code.”
    • Enter only one code at a time.
  4. View the recording, complete the activity in its entirety, including watching the full video, and pass the post-test. Once completed, the Credit section will unlock.
  5. Select the appropriate credit (pharmacy or pharmacy technician), enter your NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth, and click the “claim” button to earn credit.

Claims must be submitted within 60 days from the date you opened the activity.

Kelly Gable, PharmD, BCPP Professor and Director of Well-being and Resilience, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Pharmacy

Dr Kelly Gable is a professor in the department of pharmacy practice and the director of well-being and resilience at SIUE School of Pharmacy. She joined SIUE from the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy in 2007. Dr Gable is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, and subsequently completed a specialty residency in psychiatric pharmacy practice at the University of Southern California. Her clinical areas of focus include expanding mental health care access within low-income communities and enhancing harm reduction, trauma-informed care, motivational Interviewing, and suicide prevention strategies within health care. Dr Gable is committed to promoting well-being within pharmacy education and challenging future pharmacists to embrace patient-centered care as an integral part of the health care team.
