This format will provide participants with the unique opportunity to hear about insights that are valuable to the boards’ work and learn about solutions that can help to overcome the challenges that boards face.

Associate Executive Director, Government Affairs and Innovation, NABP

Josh Bolin serves as the associate executive director for government affairs and innovation for NABP. In his current capacity, he is the Association’s primary liaison with the boards of pharmacy, state government and federal government agencies, and Congress and directs strategic initiatives, partnerships, and innovation. Mr Bolin is currently working with NABP member boards of pharmacy on uniform processes and tools with respect to DSCSA.

Since joining NABP in 2005, Mr Bolin has worked on the development of PMP InterConnect®, multiple pharmacy accreditation and inspection programs, including accreditation programs for durable medical equipment and specialty pharmacy, and inspection programs for the prescription drug supply chain, sterile and nonsterile compounding, and nuclear pharmacy. Mr Bolin also worked with NABP’s member boards of pharmacy to develop standards for exchange and sharing of licensure and disciplinary data, NABP’s Universal Inspection Form, and Multistate Inspection Blueprint, which are all tools to assist the boards of pharmacy in sharing data and conducting inspections in a uniform manner.

Associate Director, Mississippi Board of Pharmacy 

Todd Dear is the associate director of the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy. In this role, he is highly engaged in pharmacy benefits manager regulatory efforts and other agency functions, including licensing, compliance, and prescription monitoring program matters. Dr Dear has been part of the pharmacy profession for over 20 years, having served in both community and hospital settings. He graduated from the University of Mississippi’s School of Pharmacy in 2005 and completed a pharmacy practice residency at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

Justin Macy, PharmD, JD

Director of Innovation, NABP

Justin Macy is the director of innovation for NABP. He specializes in the intersection of law, technology, and health care with a focus on pharmacy practice and drug regulation. Recently, Dr Macy helped lead NABP’s DSCSA efforts to support regulators, dispensers, and other trading partners by providing tools (such as Pulse by NABP) and education that enable implementation of DSCSA’s interoperability milestone. Historically, he has worked closely with NABP’s Digital Health team. Prior to joining NABP, Dr Macy was a specialist in Amazon’s Consumer Legal department and Associate Director of Innovation for a tech start-up.
