Three Additional States Sign Agreement to Participate in NABP PMP InterConnect

The Alaska Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP), Maine Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP), and Montana Prescription Drug Registry recently executed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to participate in NABP PMP InterConnect^®, joining 31 other state PMPs who have agreed to participate. To date, 30 of these state PMPs – Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin – have implemented use of PMP InterConnect, giving authorized PMP users the ability to request and share program data across state lines. NABP continues to work with other states to facilitate their participation. PMP InterConnect is a highly secure communications exchange platform that facilitates the transmission of PMP data across state lines to authorized requestors, while ensuring that each state’s data-access rules are enforced.
