NABP is offering pharmacy automation distributors the opportunity to apply for, and if approved, register a .pharmacy Top-Level Domain (TLD) through the Association’s .Pharmacy TLD Program. Pharmacy automation involves the mechanical processes of storing and dispensing medications. Distributors of pharmacy automation must provide licensure and certification information, if applicable, in addition to other corporate information to NABP for review. There is an initial application fee payable to NABP for this review and a subsequent domain name registration fee payable to the registrar when registering the .pharmacy TLD. Instructions for completing the pharmacy automation distributor application are available at www.safe.pharmacy.
The Association launched the .Pharmacy TLD Program to provide consumers around the world a means to identify safe and legal online pharmacies and related resources. NABP will grant use of the .pharmacy domain only to legitimate website operators that adhere to pharmacy laws in the jurisdictions in which they are based and in which their patients and customers reside. More information about the .Pharmacy TLD Program, including a list of approved entities with registered .pharmacy domain names, is available at www.safe.pharmacy.
