Nicole L. Chopski, PharmD, CGP, ANP, was elected to serve a three-year member term, representing District 7, on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) during the Association’s 114th Annual Meeting, May 5-8, 2018, in Denver, CO.

Dr Chopski is a member of the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy and currently serves as chairperson of the Board. She has been certified as an authorized nuclear pharmacist (ANP) by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission at Purdue University for more than a decade, and is a pharmacist and partner at an independent nuclear pharmacy, Advanced Isotopes of Idaho. Dr Chopski is also a staff pharmacist at Portneuf Medical Center, and is a certified geriatric pharmacist (CGP) through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. Prior to her current roles, Dr Chopski was employed as a pharmacist, director of pharmacy, and president at Northwest Pharmaceutical, Inc, and was also employed as the director of pharmacy and the director of the anticoagulation program at Beacon Hospital of Pocatello.

As a member of NABP, Dr Chopski has made many contributions to the NABP District 7 meetings, and currently serves as the secretary/treasurer of District 7. She has served on many of the Association’s committees, including serving as a delegate on the Committee on Resolutions in 2016, 2014, and 2013, and as a voting delegate at the NABP Annual Meetings in 2015, 2014, and 2013. Dr Chopski was also a panelist at the NABP Interactive Member Forums in 2016 and 2012.

Dr Chopski is active in several other organizations, including the Southeast Idaho Medical Reserve Corps, and the Southeastern Idaho Pharmaceutical Association, and has earned a number of certifications related to pharmacy practice from the American Pharmacists Association. In 2003, the Idaho State Pharmacy Association recognized Dr Chopski as a Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year.

Contributing her expertise about the profession, Dr Chopski co-authored two pharmacy publications, including a handbook on medications for students and instructors and a manual on drugs and diseases for students and residents in a medicine rotation program.

Dr Chopski earned her doctor of pharmacy degree from Idaho State University.
