Bradley S. Hamilton, RPh, was re-elected to serve a three-year member term, representing District 1, on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) during the Association’s 115th Annual Meeting, May 16-18, 2019, in Minneapolis, MN.

Mr Hamilton is a member of the Maine Board of Pharmacy and serves as vice president. Mr Hamilton has been practicing pharmacy in the retail chain setting for almost 20 years. He began his career as a pharmacy manager at Walgreens in Connecticut, and then was a staff pharmacist and pharmacy manager at Hannaford Supermarkets and Pharmacy in Maine. Currently, Mr Hamilton is a pharmacy district manager for the Hannaford Supermarket and Pharmacy chain.

As a member of NABP, Mr Hamilton has made many contributions to the NABP District 1 meetings.  Mr Hamilton served on the Task Force on Expanding International Membership and has represented the Maine Board of Pharmacy as a voting delegate at the NABP Annual Meetings since 2016. In addition, Mr Hamilton served as the Executive Committee liaison on the Task Force to Develop Regulations Based on Standards of Care.

Mr Hamilton is an active member of other professional pharmacy organizations, including the Maine Pharmacy Association and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores. He has given many presentations on the practice of pharmacy in Maine, including serving as a guest speaker at Drug Enforcement Administration’s Pharmacy Diversion Awareness Conference in 2015. Mr Hamilton is also involved in his community and volunteers for many causes and organizations, including serving as Hannaford’s co-chair for the United Way of Greater Portland campaign in 2018.

In 2014, Mr Hamilton was the recipient of the Retail Operations Honorary Backpack Award for his role at Hannaford Supermarket and Pharmacy. He was also named Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year in Maine by Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Company in 2006.

Mr Hamilton earned his bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from Northeastern University, Bouvé College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
