In April 2026, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved FoundayoTM (orforglipron), a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist pill for chronic weight management. The medication is a daily tablet with different dosage strengths. While taking this pill, patients are expected to increase their physical activity and maintain a reduced-calorie diet. The medication was approved under FDA’s Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher pilot program.
