Invitation to Submit Poster Proposals for the 122nd Annual Meeting Educational Poster Session
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) is pleased to invite you and your board of pharmacy to submit brief poster proposals for the Educational Poster Session at the 122nd NABP Annual Meeting, to be held May 12-15, 2026, at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza in Boston, MA. Additionally, poster proposals may be submitted for the virtual Poster Presentations webinar that will be held in June.
This highly attended activity is a great networking and educational event that offers your board of pharmacy the unique opportunity to share information about your latest legislative issues, technology, policy development, and/or patient or public safety initiatives as they relate to this year’s Poster Session theme of “Illuminating Public Health Protection.” Proposals may be submitted for the in-person session on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 7:30 to 10 AM EDT in Boston and/or for the virtual session on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM EDT. Individuals will be able to state their preference during the proposal submission process.
Posters may be descriptive, scientific, or informational in nature and will not be judged. The intent of the session is to stimulate discussion of issues. Encore presentations are accepted as long as they fit within this year’s theme and guidelines. All proposals must be submitted via the online proposal submission form.
Boards of pharmacy are encouraged to enlist the help of pharmacy students and interns on rotation to help prepare a poster. Of course, individuals are welcome and encouraged to submit a poster proposal as the sole author and/or presenter. Individual board members and staff representing the board of pharmacy must notify the board’s executive officer about their proposal submissions.
Poster Session attendees and presenters may be eligible to receive 1 contact hour (0.1 CEU) of Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education-accredited continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credit. Pharmacy students who are selected and present on site in Boston or during the live webinar will receive a complimentary voucher valued at $75 to take the Pre-NAPLEX. In addition, the Annual Meeting registration fee will be waived for those selected to present at the in-person Poster Session.
For consideration, please submit poster proposals via the online proposal submission form by Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 5 PM EST.
For more information, please see the attached flyer or contact NABP CPE Program staff via email at cpe@nabp.pharmacy or via phone at 847/391-4406.

Access to Buprenorphine
In October, NABP sent a letter to Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to inquire about how formal or informal policies, regulations, or the federal Controlled Substances Act affect the numerical thresholds set by drug distributors for purchasers of controlled substances. Specifically, the inquiry concerned buprenorphine for the treatment of patients with opioid use disorder. DEA’s response is attached.

Board Staff Encouraged to Register for Virtual Training on NABP Programs, Services
NABP will hold its annual Program Review and Training as a live remote event. This year, the training will be divided into two half days. On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, we will cover information on Communications, Licensure Programs, Government Affairs, and Professional Affairs from 9 AM – noon CDT.

State boards can attend one or both days of the training or log on for the specific topic of their choice.
The training, led by NABP staff, is highly interactive and provides an overview of the following topics:

Uniform MPJE Pricing
In March 2026, the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) will open registration for the Uniform MPJE™ (UMPJE™) to candidates in early adopter states, and exam administrations will begin on April 1. The total cost for candidates will be $450, which includes a $100 exam application fee and a $350 exam fee. This fee structure will also apply in June, when registration will be open to candidates from all participating states.
If candidates would like to transfer their UMPJE scores to other participating jurisdictions, the fee will be $105 per jurisdiction. As with the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination®, candidates may purchase score transfers up to 89 days after taking the UMPJE.
As you may have seen, the Pre-UMPJE™ launched in January and costs $90 per administration. Colleges of pharmacy may purchase vouchers at a discounted rate of $78 each, or, when purchasing 100 or more vouchers, an additional 20% discount is provided, for a rate of $70.20 per voucher.
If you have any questions, contact the NABP Exam Services team via email at ExamServices@nabp.pharmacy or by phone at 847/391-4406.
Board-Focused Conflicts of Interest Webinar Released
NABP is pleased to announce an on-demand webinar, Conflicts of Interest – To Recuse or Not To Recuse?, led by NABP Legal Affairs staff. The webinar is intended to equip boards of pharmacy with knowledge to help appropriately identify and handle a conflict of interest. By watching this presentation, participants will understand:
- the legal framework in which a licensing board functions,
- the concept of a conflict of interest,
- who has the burden to monitor for conflicts of interest,
- what questions to ask about conflicts of interest, and
- how to work with board staff when faced with a conflict of interest.
We invite you to direct your staff to the Board Resources section of the NABP website for more information about the webinar, which includes registration details. After completing the form, registrants will receive a confirmation email from NABP staff with details on how to access the webinar.
The presentation is intended to be purely educational and is in no way intended to be and should not be construed as legal advice. This activity is not eligible for Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education-accredited continuing pharmacy education credit.
CPE Monitor Plus Plan Price Adjustment
NABP is notifying the boards of pharmacy of a pricing change to the CPE Monitor Plus plan that will be implemented on April 1, 2026. At that time, the cost of an annual Plus plan subscription to CPE Monitor will increase from $12 to $15, thus any licensee renewing their subscription on or after April 1st will be charged $15.
The change in pricing will help the Association cover the cost of providing this robust tool to subscribers. Though it is an increase, the subscription cost is still the most affordable option for pharmacists seeking assistance in tracking their continuing education.
NABP regularly reviews its programs and services to determine when adjustments are necessary to cover increases in vendor fees and operational costs for product improvements. The last price change for a CPE Monitor subscription was in 2022, when the subscription cost was reduced from $30 a year to $12.
If you have any questions, contact Melissa Becker, Associate Executive Director, via email at mbecker@nabp.pharmacy.
New Survey of Pharmacy Law
NABP would like to thank you and your staff for your generous support and assistance in providing updates for the Survey of Pharmacy Law (Survey).
The Survey has been transformed into a dynamic, web-based tool designed to significantly enhance the user experience. Moving away from the former pdf version, this upgrade will provide an interactive digital format and enhanced customization. Users will be able to instantly generate maps and charts to compare legal provisions across states.
In recognition of your support for NABP, the Survey will be available to you and your staff for internal board use via the NABP e-Profile Connect dashboard for board of pharmacy staff. You will need both e-Profile Connect credentials and an e-Profile account to view the Survey. The steps are listed below:
- On the NABP website, click on the login link to, then click on the “Board of Pharmacy Staff” tile.
- Log in using your e-Profile Connect credentials.
- If there are staff members who need access to the Survey but do not have an e-Profile Connect account, please submit a request to eProfileAccess@nabp.pharmacy.
- You will be redirected to a log in screen for e-Profile.
- If you do not have an e-Profile account, you can create one from this screen. You will only need to create a username and password – you do not need to create a full e-Profile to access the Survey.
- After entering your e-Profile log in credentials, you will be brought to the new Survey of Pharmacy Law.
A valuable source of information on pharmacy law, the Survey continues to focus on the issues that are pertinent to contemporary pharmacy licensing and practice. With the new format, users can simply click to view important context or exceptions, with supplemental information included as notes on the corresponding web page. To help familiarize you with the new platform, we have created a tutorial that guides you through using the new web-based Survey.
Please note that the Survey is trademarked, copyright protected, and provided for your board’s internal use only. No portion of the Survey may be copied, published, or distributed without the prior written consent of NABP.
If you have any questions or feedback on the Survey of Pharmacy Law, please contact Professional Affairs staff via email at prof-affairs@nabp.pharmacy.
