Why do you require transparent (non-anonymized) domain name registration information?
Healthcare Merchant Accreditation Standard 9 (Domain Name Registration) states: “The domain name registration information of the merchant’s primary website must be accurate, non-anonymized, and have a logical nexus to the merchant.” The goal of this standard is to provide website transparency. We believe a patient seeking health care information should be able to determine who is behind an accredited website. In addition, anonymous domain registration is often associated with illicit activities including the distribution of malware, the hosting of phishing sites, and the unlawful sale of drugs by illegal online pharmacies.
