Frequently Asked Questions
Following are answers to frequently asked questions about NABP’s APIs.
What is an API?
Application Programming Interface (API) is a method for connecting applications and allowing them to “talk” to one another. APIs make it easier to share and access data between the connected applications.
How do I access the APIs?
To obtain an API key or for technical assistance, contact us. The API key will be mailed using secure email to the established contact person of your organization. The API key will have 3 components: Client ID, Client Secret, and Client Scope. You will need to use these to generate a token.
Who can access the APIs?
Our APIs were created with the boards of pharmacy and other health care organizations in mind. Contact us to learn more about using our current APIs or developing something new.
