Supply Chain Inspection

Pricing Update

On December 18, 2024, NABP is adjusting the pricing for certain accreditation and inspection programs. To apply under current pricing, your application and payment must be submitted on or before 6 PM CST on December 18, 2024.

A “General” Supply Chain Inspection is for most businesses that provide a combination of services (eg, prescription wholesale distribution, OTC medical device distribution, 3PL, etc). A “Complex” Supply Chain Inspection is for outsourcing facilities which are inspected for both distribution and certain compounding activities.

The cost of Supply Chain Inspection for applicants who submit an application and payment on or before 6 PM CST on December 18, 2024 is outlined below:

General – Most business models – $6,000

Application Fee: $1,000

Inspection Fee: $5,000

Complex – Outsourcing Facilities – $10,000

Application Fee: $1,000

Inspection Fee: $9,000

Accreditation Eligibility Review Fee: $1,000 (applies only if applicant is seeking eligibility for NABP Drug Distributor Accreditation or OTC Medical Device Distributor Accreditation)

The cost of Supply Chain Inspection for applicants who submit an application and payment after 6 PM CST on December 18, 2024 is outlined below:

General – Most business models – $6,500

Application Fee: $2,200

Accreditation Eligibility Review Fee:

$1,400 (applies only if applicant is seeking eligibility for NABP Drug Distributor Accreditation)

$1,300 (applies only if applicant is seeking eligibility for NABP OTC Medical Device Distributor Accreditation)

An extensive inspection fee ($1,500) may be required if NABP determines the work needed to complete the inspection process requires additional time onsite and/or to write the report. An example of when this fee may apply includes when a facility has numerous or complex business models.

When applying for a Supply Chain Inspection understand that NABP does not perform partial inspections; all operations specific to a facility’s business model and relevant to the inspection must be observed. Inspections will not proceed and no refund will be made if this requirement cannot be met.
