I currently hold an active 3-year DMEPOS Accreditation. When does my annual reaccreditation cycle begin?
Based on the CMS final rule, we’d like to reassure our existing DMEPOS accredited customers that the annual resurvey and reaccreditation cycle will not begin until the expiration of the supplier’s current 3-year accreditation cycle ends if issued prior to the final rule effective date of January 1, 2026.
Example:
If you were DMEPOS accredited on December 31, 2025, then your 3-year accreditation will end on December 30, 2028. NABP will contact you several months prior to the end of your accreditation cycle to begin the reaccreditation process. Subsequent accreditation cycles will be annual per CMS.
