How often will I be surveyed for DMEPOS Accreditation going forward?
The CMS final rule states that DMEPOS suppliers getting accredited or reaccredited on or after the effective date of the final rule must thereafter be resurveyed and reaccredited annually.
Example:
If you were DMEPOS accredited on January 1, 2026, then per CMS, you have a 1-year accreditation and must be resurveyed and reaccredited prior to the accreditation end date.
