Who and what will be inspected?

An NABP VPP Inspection observes all current pharmacy activities at the licensed location, for which the application was submitted. This includes but is not limited to general pharmacy practice, nonsterile compounding, sterile compounding, hazardous drug compounding, and/or nuclear pharmacy/radiopharmaceutical preparations. NABP does not perform partial inspections, and failure to identify all applicable activities during the application process may cause delays with the onsite inspection.

The facility’s application must match the resident state license, including the full address with correct suite number(s). Should your facility be located on a campus with multiple licensed locations, each licensed location must submit a separate application and inspection. Should the resident state license cover multiple suites within a building or campus, each area must be inspected during the on-site inspection.

NABP may request additional documentation to verify correct Legal Business Name and Doing Business Name. An application submitted with the incorrect business name or address may be asked to withdraw their application and re-submit in order to obtain a VPP Inspection.
