We offer telemedicine services. What do we need to know prior to applying for accreditation?
Under Standard 5 (Legal Compliance), we require that you comply with all applicable laws. Many jurisdictions use the modality of care (the mechanism by which a patient has an encounter with a provider) as a factor in determining whether there is a valid patient-provider relationship. As an applicant, you will be required to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws, including any restrictions regarding the modalities of care, in all jurisdictions in which you offer services.
