What if I need to place a hold on my Preoperational Inspection application or unannounced inspection?
Prior to an inspection occurring, you may request to place your Preoperational Inspection application or inspection on hold, at your expense, for a period of no more than 6 months. The administrative fee to place a hold is $500 plus any additional costs incurred should an inspection already have been scheduled. If your facility’s Preoperational Inspection application is placed on hold at your facility’s request, you agree that a refund will not be issued. Absent extenuating circumstances, NABP will not place an application or inspection on hold longer than 6 months. Applications or inspections that are not advanced by the end of the hold period will be canceled. NABP encourages applicants to voluntarily withdraw and reapply rather than requesting a hold if they do not believe they will be ready to advance their application or inspection prior to the hold period ending.
