Does Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation require performance measures and metrics?
Yes. In order to be accredited for Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation, NABP requires specialty pharmacies to maintain performance measures and metrics as a part of the pharmacy’s quality improvement program. Our self-assessment for quality performance measures and metrics is described in the P&P Assessment. The self-assessment for the quality performance measures and metrics is reviewed during the on-site survey. Our Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation does not require the use of a data aggregator or data validator.
