  1. What is the difference between the Vet-VIPPS Program and the .Pharmacy Verified Websites Program?
  2. I was a Vet-VIPPS Program participant. What if I do not want to get the .pharmacy domain right now?
  3. Will I remain eligible to advertise with the search engines with .pharmacy program approval?

1. What is the difference between the Vet-VIPPS Program and the .Pharmacy Verified Websites Program?

The primary difference is the requirement to register a .pharmacy domain name. Additionally, unlike Vet-VIPPS, which approved websites domiciled in the US, .pharmacy caters to a global community. The standards are the same, the website review is the same, and the annual cost is approximately the same (with variations depending on the registrar you select). Another distinction is that you will need to renew your domain name through an approved registrar annually in addition to the annual re-verification of your website through NABP.

2. I was a Vet-VIPPS  Program participant. What if I do not want to get the .pharmacy domain right now?

If you wish to retain NABP online pharmacy approval status, you will need to apply to the .Pharmacy Verified Websites Program and pay the application fee. It is important to note that .pharmacy domain names are available first-come, first-served.

3. Will I remain eligible to advertise with the search engines with .Pharmacy Program approval?

Yes. Websites that are approved and registered through the .pharmacy program are eligible for advertising with all major search engines.
