December 2, 2010

Topics: Uncategorized

Mississippi and Oklahoma will soon begin requiring the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination® (MPJE®), bringing the number of states using the MPJE to 48. Candidates may begin taking the Mississippi and Oklahoma MPJE at Pearson VUE test centers on January 25, 2011; however, registration opens December 1, 2010, on the NABP Web site. Candidates may also schedule their examinations with Pearson VUE on December 1. Both states will require passage of the MPJE as a condition of licensure for those seeking a new license as well as those seeking to transfer a license.

The MPJE combines federal- and state-specific questions to test the pharmacy jurisprudence knowledge of prospective pharmacists. It serves as the pharmacy law examination in participating jurisdictions. Arkansas, California, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virginia, and the Virgin Islands do not participate.
