NABP Seeking Volunteers for 2022-2023 Committees and Task Forces
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) is seeking volunteers from its active member boards of pharmacy to serve on the 2022-2023 committees and task forces. Executive officers and board members, including public members, interested in serving on a committee or task force are encouraged to submit a letter of interest and a current résumé or curriculum vitae. In addition, NABP encourages affiliated members from associate member boards and interested board of pharmacy staff to volunteer for NABP task forces. Submissions should outline volunteers’ applicable experiences and accomplishments, along with the reasons they wish to be considered for appointment to a committee or task force.

All submissions must be sent to NABP Executive Director/Secretary Lemrey “Al” Carter, PharmD, MS, RPh, at NABP Headquarters or ExecOffice@nabp.pharmacy, or via the NABP website, by Friday, June 3, 2022. All materials will be forwarded to NABP President-elect Reginald B. “Reggie” Dilliard, DPh, who will make the appointments when he becomes NABP President following the Association’s 118th Annual Meeting, May 19-21, 2022.
FDA Inspections of Outsourcings Facilities Webinar to Be Hosted by FDA CDER Small Business and Industry Assistance on April 6, 2022
On April 6, 2022, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will host an outsourcing facility inspections webinar in collaboration with the FDA Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) Small Business and Industry Assistance (SBIA). The CDER SBIA program provides guidance, education, and updates for regulated industry.
FDA Inspections of Outsourcing Facilities

Duration: 60 minutes
This webinar will provide an overview of the inspection process for compounding outsourcing facilities. Additionally, FDA will discuss what to expect during an inspection from initiation to closeout, as well as observations on successes and challenges. This webinar will also cover current Good Manufacturing Practices for outsourcing facilities, insanitary conditions, aseptic operators and operations, environmental and personnel monitoring, records review, and evaluation of compliance with Section 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, in addition to other relevant topics.
The complimentary webinar is open to state pharmacy regulators, compounding outsourcing facilities, compounding pharmacies with interest in the outsourcing facility sector and FDA compounding inspections, consultants focused on outsourcing facilities and compounding pharmacies, and FDA-regulated industry or those from the general public with an interest in the inspections process for compounding pharmacies and outsourcing facilities.
Continuing education may be available to those who attend the webinar in real time. Attendance certificates will only be available during the two weeks immediately following the session.
